K-GUY

Over the past few of years K•Guy has decorated the streets of London with his hard edged graphic style, often using discarded trash and found objects as the basis or medium of his work. He has brought a poignant, relevant and thought-provoking slant to the street art scene making incisive observations and visual comments about life in the 21st century. His style is hard to pinpoint as he uses a mix of stencil spray paint, freehand painting, wheat pasting and silkscreen to montage and layer up his work and often purposefully degrades his images to fit into the urban spectrum.

Late last year, K-guy dropped what was to be one of the most iconic pieces of street art of 2008 when he installed his 'In Loving Memory of the Boom Economy' memorial shrine outside the Bank of England in the heart of London’s financial district. The media coverage that followed and built over the following week week was phenomenal, and was featured on the BBC and ITV News at Ten, The Times, The Telegraph, The Financial Times, Washington Post and Wall Street Journal. The online exposure was just as impressive with the story getting global recognition and appearing on many websites and blogs across the world.
