BONBON

Her cousin introduced her to marvelous parallel universes at the age of 5 and she never returned to Earth completely. Rhéa attended university in the UK over a decade ago and stayed ever since. Relatively new to the streets of London, her love for sci-fi has created all sorts of mischievous Barbarellas about town and her alien girls are first seen pasted in walls here and there before they are mutated to be part of the world of Finer Arts.

"I don't believe propaganda should hang on walls, I prefer to create references to the fact that some of us will never abandon childhood completely. It's an ode to the kid in my head for getting me through the real world."

DGG: ” Icons, inspirations, people you admire?”
BB: “I look up to my late grandma, I admire my friends and I am always inspired by the worlds of Rumi, Allende, Romita, Miro, Carroll, Murakami, Barrie…“
DGG: “Not interested in growing up?”
BB: “The rest of the world out there is far too real and a bit too angry and I don’t like to be reminded of it.”
DGG: “What makes you happy then?”
BB: “All sorts, good people, organic and pretty things, re-runs of Saint Seiya, I’d love to own a Shelby, Sci-fi in any form, the Rolling Stones… And cupcakes… And foreign horror movies… oh! And freckles!”
DGG: “Never thought a geek could look like you… Perfect man?… In Sweden we have some good men.”
BB: ”Of course you do… but I like going home and finding Indiana Jones in the kitchen”.
DGG: “Point taken.”MSL for Den Grundlurade Generationen / Swedish Fanzine 2009.

CAMILO OLIVEIRA, San Paulo, Brazil

Camilo Oliveira is a self taught artist who began experimenting in lettering, figures and compositions with graffiti in 1997 under the name Milo Tchais, actively painting and living in San Paulo, Brazil, until 2001 when he relocated to London. Most recently he created a project called 'UntanglingLifeBuds' emphasizing in shapes, colour contrasts and textures through an abstract figurative approach. 'It was about a lively experience in the world, relating to nature, mind and it's movements, ways of manifesting". Strong colours and lines may form a figure or landscape.
In compositions with physical and mental aspects, elements blends, transforms and stands out as the eye moves through the image. Giving a sense of all being some how connected. Sometimes making use of abandoned urban structures as a medium to apply his work, symbolizing regeneration and the sprouting of life in forgotten, 'dead' city spaces. In a simplistic way, celebrating the unity of everything, Pacifying the viewer with flowing continuous lines, relating to human behaviours and the coexistence of the cosmos and beings.

LUCY TATE

I take my inspiration from found images and funny things I hear people say particularly those relating to my own personal culture and life experiences. I enjoy exploring the idea of how images and language are interpreted and/or misinterpreted. I work in a mixture of mediums including film, sound and drawing but specialise in screenprinting.

Live music from DOUCE ANGOISSE

Douce Angoisse means sweet anxiety. Her inspiration comes from the Sunday anguish.
'Come, breaststroke the wind, see the plastic bird bags flying by, looking for hope in the grey of the rainbow.
So, Gulls get ready because with 'Douce Angoisse' you may find your watering hole.'

TOM GLENDINING (Photography)

Bazaart is happy to announce that Photographer Tom Glendining will be exhibiting a new set of images

'I take photographs of bands in dirty club basements, I've been sworn at, kicked in the face and spat on. When I was asked to take part at Bazaart I decided that I wanted to leave that place for a while and create images that were more personal to me.
Using a medium format film camera I started taking portraits of the people in my family.
What I've ended up with, I guess, is an oversized family album......'

BUSK

Like many of his generation, Busk was part of the hip hop movement in the early eighties & was introduced to graffiti culture in 1985. He's been painting ever since.

Active on the Essex and London scenes during the mid to late eighties, Busk founded the crew Third Decade, and now represents the UK for the Europe wide collective Xcrew

After a couple of spells at her majesty's pleasure, punctuated by fines and hundreds of hours community service, Busk has moved on from painting trains to less costly forms of self expression, and now works from a studio in East London.

Busk is known worldwide as one of the most technically proficient craftsman with a spraycan, and currently has his work on permanent display at the prestigious 'Ivy Club', above the restaurant in Covent Garden, alongside the likes of Andy Warhol, Damien Hurst, Gerald Laing to name but a few.

His work appears in contexts as various as music videos, clubs, interiors and backdrops.

After 24 years of painting, Busk's passion for graffiti is as strong as ever, and he continues to paint regularly at jams and halls of fame around the UK and Europe.
